Rooted & Rising Youth & Caregiver Program Information
Purpose: To help children and teens build emotional awareness, confidence, communication, resilience, leadership, and practical life skills in age-appropriate settings.
Before registration
- Review the announced age group, date, location, and session format.
- Provide guardian contact information and all required consent details.
- Identify allergies, health concerns, accommodations, and authorized pickup adults.
- Select the family’s media/photo preference.
What participants can expect
- Age-appropriate activities and facilitated discussion
- Practice with emotions, calming skills, communication, goals, and problem-solving
- Clear behavior, respect, and safety expectations
- Family connection activities when included in the session
Caregiver preparation
- Arrive and pick up on time.
- Ensure emergency contacts remain reachable.
- Notify staff of changes affecting safety or participation.
- Ask how to reinforce skills at home.
Safety: Programs are educational and supportive and do not replace licensed clinical care or emergency services. Immediate safety concerns should be directed to local emergency professionals.
